Overall, Win for Life players have won more than $14.6 million in prizes. Matt’s prize was $15,000 for matching all eight numbers. Because he played $5 per game, his prize was increased to $75,000. Added to that was a Keno Rolling Jackpot Bonus of $15,613, giving Matt a total prize of $90,613, and a feeling that things were getting better! Fruitcake Cash is the latest addition to the Lottery’s popular Scratch ‘n Sniff Scratch-it games, and has a total prize payout of more than $1.7 million. David won two out of three weeks playing Sports Action, for prizes totaling $4,454. David keeps his eye on what’s happening in professional football, and lets his knowledge of that help him make his selections. David played 10 events each time, choosing correctly on all 10. Bill, a long-haul truck driver, and his traveling buddy, Keith, were relaxing at the Ponderosa Country Lounge, in Portland. Bill decided to purchase a single Scratch-it ticket. After scratching his ticket, Bill handed it to Keith, and asked, “Did I win?” Keith made sure Bill sat down before he told him he was a $100,000 winner. An estimated three-quarter of a million people are expected at the rally. Even with all those people it will be easy to pick out Buddy. He’ll be the one with the biggest smile. He chose his own numbers, matched eight of 10 numbers on his 10-spot ticket, and won a $1,200 prize! Ryan’s big hit came in the second game played at Dotty’s #12, on Highway 26, in Sandy. Jilian also mentioned that a car for her would be a nice way to spend some of the prize money. Todd smiled, but didn't confirm if he was ready to listen to his daughter once again. Marion enjoys playing Keno, and became a big winner at the Eagles #2555, in Prineville. Michael, a Portland resident, played and enjoyed Keno at Mickey Finn’s Brew Pub, in Portland. Playing four sets of numbers for three drawings on a $6 ticket, Art’s big prize was won on the first draw, with the last set of numbers. The winning ticket was sold at 7/Eleven #14508, on SE 42nd St., in Milwaukie. The winning numbers were 7-16-21-22-24-43. Art’s winning ticket was one of 29,721 winning tickets from the Nov. 15, Megabucks drawing. Angela made sure to offer a special “Thanks,” to Tom & Jerry’s Or, in Clatskanie, where she purchased her winning ticket. Since Sports Action began in 1989, players have won more than $79 million in prizes. By playing the game, Charles was not only a winner himself, but helped support athletic programs and academic scholarships in Oregon. Oregon’s state universities have received more than $30 million in profits from the game. She purchased six sets of numbers for two drawings, at Lien’s Store, in Klamath Falls. James says that his first thought was that he’d won over $600, because he knew he had to make a visit to the Lottery office in Salem to collect his prize. When he realized he was a $50,000 winner, it made the trip to Salem that much more enjoyable.
Phyllis Spurgeon of Clackamas knows that the top prize in the Oregon Lottery’s Win for Life on-line game is $1,000 a-week-for-life. She says she’s going to continue playing, and trying for the big prize. In the meantime, Phyllis was feeling pretty good about winning a $10,000 Win for Life prize.

The disbelief turned to smiles, hugs, and excitement for John, and his wife, Jackie, as they received their prize check at a presentation at the Lottery office in Salem on Aug. 29.
John, a regular Megabucks player, used the Quick Pick method to select four combinations of numbers at Self Service Market, in Portland.
“It’s funny how you dream about something like this, and then you have a hard time believing that it’s happening,” said John. He showed the winning numbers and his ticket to Jackie, and then called his mother-in-law and father-in-law over to share the news. “Everyone was in a state of shock,” said Jackie. “We just couldn’t believe we had all the winning numbers.”
“Just give me a ‘quick pick,’” was all Annie Young had to say when she stopped in at Dari-Mart #5, in Junction City, to pick up her Win for Life on-line ticket.

Ayman, a regular Scoreboard and Sports Action player, was stunned when he received a call indicating he was the big winner. “I couldn’t believe it,” said Deeb, who had also entered the Lottery’s 2003/2004 Scoreboard Web site contest. “I’ve told some of my friends, and they couldn’t believe that I could win such a great prize with a non-winning ticket.”

Largest Megabucks Jackpot Ever!
Art Brenner made a trip into town to pick up supplies halfway through his hunting trip. While there, Art and Susan Cox, a relative, checked his Megabucks tickets, and discovered that the numbers Art had been playing for 16 years made him the owner of the winning ticket for the $30 million Megabucks jackpot from the Nov. 15, drawing. The big winner claimed his prize at the Lottery office in Salem, on Nov. 30.
Art, a semi-retired CPA, received $29.7 million of the total prize, while Cox received a prize of $300,000. Each winner chose the “Investment Fund” for prize payment, which gives the winner one-half of the advertised jackpot amount in a single, one-time payment. Brenner received $14,850,000 before state and federal taxes were withheld, while Cox received a $150,000 prize before taxes.
Angela Koljonen of Westport thought it was exciting to win a $140 Keno prize. She enjoys playing Keno, and winning any prize makes it that much more enjoyable.
