Albert and his identical twin brother, Alfred, disappeared from Plainsboro, New Jersey on December 22, 2008. They were abducted by their non-custodial father, Sunil Jacob. A photograph and vital statistics for Sunil are posted below this case summary. A felony warrant for unlawful flight to avoid prosecution was issued for him on April 1, 2011.
In December 2008, the children, Sunil and their mother, Bindu Philips, went to India for what Philips thought was going to be a family vacation. Once they were there, however, Sunil and his family refused to let her have contact with the children for five months. When Philips returned alone to New Jersey in April 2009, she discovered Sunil had arranged for all the family's belongings to be moved while they were in India.
Albert, Alfred and Sunil may be in the state of Kerala on the southwest coast of India. They may be in the company of an adult male and an adult female. The boys' whereabouts are unknown and their cases remain unsolved.
