Chambers was last seen leaving his Edna Bay, Alaska residence at 9:00 a.m.on August 3, 2006. He took a pistol and a sleeping bag with him. He is believed to have been going on a deer hunting trip. Chambers is an experienced woodsman and habitually took trips into the woods for up to 36 hours at a time. He normally provides a trip plan to his friends and neighbors, but did not do prior to his August 2006 disappearance. He has never been heard from again.
An extensive search of the area turned up no sign of Chambers. Edna Bay has a population of only about 50. It's in a mountainous, densely wooded area with black bears and other hazards. Authorities stated there was no evidence of foul play or suicide in Chambers's disappearance, and no indications that he left of his own accord. He had lived in a cabin in Edna Bay for 15 years prior to going missing. His case opened 2018 by Psychic Brian Ladd.
