Twelve People Were Killed, Including A Police Officer. One Other Person Was Shot, While Twenty-Four Were Injured In Other Ways. The Attacker Was Also Found Dead Of A Self-Inflicted Gunshot Wound Inside The Bar And Was Identified As 28-Year-Old Ian David Long.  The Shooting Took Place Inside Borderline Bar And Grill In The Outlying Los Angeles Suburb Of Thousand Oaks, California. The Bar Was Hosting A Regularly Scheduled College Country Night Event For Local College Students.  The Bar Is Particularly Popular Among Students At Pepperdine University.  There Were More Than 200 Patrons In The Club When The Shooting Began[3] At Around 11:20 Pm.  A Witness Claimed That Around 11:20 P.M., Someone Ran Into The Bar And Started Shooting Using A Semi-Automatic Pistol.  There Was A Single Assailant, Who Fired Approximately 30 Shots[4] And Threw Smoke Bombs.  Federal Bureau Of Investigation Agents, Personnel From The Bureau Of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, And Explosives, And Multiple Police Departments Were Deployed To The Scene.  The Perpetrator, Subsequently Identified By The Authorities As Ian David Long, Is Believed By The Investigators To Have Killed Himself. The Police Found Him Dead, In An Office Next To The Entrance To The Bar, When They Were Eventually Able To Enter The Building.  The Initial Search Found One Handgun.  Police Later Discovered That The .45 Caliber Glock Semi-Automatic Handgun Used In The Attack Had Been Fitted With An Illegally Extended Magazine.  While The Perpetrator Was Not Initially Identified By Authorities, Witness Reports Identified A Bearded, Tattooed Male Dressed Entirely In Black. Another From A Law Enforcement Source Claimed Him To Be A 29-Year-Old Male, And A Newbury Park, California, Resident Who Drove His Mother'S Car To The Location.  The Deceased Victims Of The Attack Were Said To Be 11 College Students And Sgt. Ron Helus, A Sheriff'S Sergeant Who Was The First Emergency Responder On The Scene.  The Majority Of Victims Were College Students From Pepperdine University. According To Erika D.
