Information on the case from local sources, may or may not be correct : Banks was last seen at an apartment complex in Dalton, Georgia on July 2, 1987. Several witnesses saw her being dragged by a man who threw her into a pickup truck and drove away from the apartment complex. He returned several hours later, with blood and scratches on him, and said Banks had jumped out of his truck and walked away. She has never been heard from again. The man last seen with her reported her missing on July 4. Her case remains unsolved.

A missing person is a person who has disappeared and whose status as alive or dead cannot be confirmed as their location and condition are not known.
