Distinguishing characteristics, birthmarks, tattoos : Caucasian female. Blonde hair, green/hazel eyes. Becker dyes her hair; it is naturally brown. She has a Cesarean section scar on her abdomen, scar under chin and a deep scar on just below her right knee. She wears eyeglasses and her ears are pierced. Becker may use the alias last names Griffin, Harcourt, Mays and/or Thompson.





Information on the case from local sources, may or may not be correct : Becker was last seen by friends on July 17, 2000, in the vicinity of north 67th Avenue and Indian School Road in Phoenix, Arizona. She told her grandmother she was going to the store. She never returned home has never been heard from again.
Becker had lived in Texas for about eighteen years prior to her disappearance and was visiting relatives in Phoenix when she went missing; she wasn't familiar with the area. She planned to drive to Nevada to pick up her daughters, who were there visiting other relatives.
Becker has a college degree in administrative accounting. At the time of her disappearance, one of her daughters was pregnant, and Becker was excited about becoming a new grandmother. She has a history of crack cocaine abuse and she usually travels in drug circles. The circumstances of her disappearance are unclear.

A missing person is a person who has disappeared and whose status as alive or dead cannot be confirmed as their location and condition are not known. A person may go missing through a voluntary disappearance, or else due to an accident, crime, death in a location where they cannot be found (such as at sea), or many other reasons. In most parts of the world, a missing person will usually be found quickly. While criminal abductions are some of the most widely reported missing person cases, these account for only 2�5% of missing children in Europe. By contrast, some missing person cases remain unresolved for many years. Laws related to these cases are often complex since, in many jurisdictions, relatives and third parties may not deal with a person's assets until their death is considered proven by law and a formal death certificate issued. The situation, uncertainties, and lack of closure or a funeral resulting when a person goes missing may be extremely painful with long-lasting effects on family and friends.
