Distinguishing characteristics, birthmarks, tattoos
: Caucasian male. Blond hair, blue eyes. Connell had a beard and mustache at the time of his disappearance. He wears eyeglasses with dark-colored frames. Connell's front teeth are missing. He has a tattoo of a cross on his right arm.
Information on the case from local sources, may or may not be correct : Connell was seen between the hours of 9:30 and 11:45 p.m. on April 20, 2007 at Gibson's Bar in the vicinity of Broadway and Harrison Avenue in Rensselaer, New York, and afterwards nearby at Den-Den's. He had been drinking alcohol that night. He has never been heard from again.
Dogs tracked Connell's scent from the bars up Broadway to the city boat dock and into the water. No signs of a disturbance were found at his apartment. Foul play is not suspected in Connell's case, but it remains unsolved.

A missing person is a person who has disappeared and whose status as alive or dead cannot be confirmed as their location and condition are not known. A person may go missing through a voluntary disappearance, or else due to an accident, crime, death in a location where they cannot be found (such as at sea), or many other reasons. The situation, uncertainties, and lack of closure or a funeral resulting when a person goes missing may be extremely painful with long-lasting effects on family and friends.
