A missing person is a person who has disappeared and whose status as alive or dead cannot be confirmed as their location and condition are unknown. A person may go missing through a voluntary disappearance, or else due to an accident, crime, death in a location where they cannot be found (such as at sea), or many other reasons. In most parts of the world, a missing person will usually be found quickly. While criminal abductions are some of the most widely reported missing person cases, these account for only 2 to 5 percent of missing children in Europe. By contrast, some missing person cases remain unresolved for many years. Laws related to these cases are often complex since, in many jurisdictions, relatives and third parties may not deal with a person's assets until their death is considered proven by law and a formal death certificate issued. The situation, uncertainties, and lack of closure or a funeral resulting when a person goes missing may be extremely painful with long-lasting effects on family and friends. A number of organizations seek to connect, share best practices, and disseminate information and images of missing children to improve the effectiveness of missing children investigations, including the International Commission on Missing Persons, the International Centre for Missing & Exploited Children (ICMEC), as well as national organizations, including the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children in the US, Missing People in the UK, Child Focus in Belgium, and The Smile of the Child in Greece.

According to current statistics, 4,000 people in the United States go missing every day. Sometimes a child suddenly vanishes from the bus stop or the local park or even from their own yard or bedroom. Or a teenager doesnt return home after a walk to the neighborhood grocery store or a bike ride or a party with friends. Other times, an adult is mysteriously absent from their job or neighbors havent seen them for several days, and family and friends havent heard from them either.

A photo of the star tattoo is posted with this summary. Riggio's ears, nose and lip are pierced. She may use the first name Kitty.
Details of Disappearance Riggio disappeared from her uncle's home in the 1600 block of northeast 174th Street in North Miami Beach, Florida on May 6, 2007. She packed her belongings into a laundry basket and got into a white SUV driven Clifton Clayton Boggess Jr., whom she called her "sugar daddy."
Her friends stated they saw her in Homestead, Florida a week later; Boggess lived there. She has never been heard from again.
Boggess is considered a suspect in Riggio's disappearance. Although he was married, he had been dating Riggio in 2007 and she spent time with him at a hotel in Fort Lauderdale days prior to going missing. He previously served a five-year sentence in prison for kidnapping and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon; he shot a woman in the head in 1997 after she rejected his advances and refused to get into a car with him.
A photo of him is posted with this summary. Authorities stated he hasn't been cooperative with them and refuses to be interviewed.
Riggio's mother died in a vehicular accident when she was twelve years old, and her father was not a part of her life, so she was raised by her grandmother. She frequented the Kendall, Homestead and Redlands areas of Florida at the time of her disappearance.
She is described as a troubled woman who had gotten mixed up with the wrong crowd; her new friends, according to police, were involved with drugs and possibly also prostitution and human trafficking. She is a former exotic dancer and, at the time of her disappearance, had a felony drug possession pending against her.
Investigators think she is probably still in south Florida. They theorize she was either murdered or accidentally overdosed on drugs after she went missing. Her remains unsolved.
