Information on the case from local sources, may or may not be correct : Haynes was last seen in Oxnard, California on December 16, 1994. That day he was in a one-car accident, driving his car over a cliff near Mugu Rock, off of Highway 1, just north of the city limits of Oxnard.
Authorities found his vehicle, but Haynes wasn't in it. He is presumed deceased, but his body was never located.

A missing person is a person who has disappeared and whose status as alive or dead cannot be confirmed as their location and condition are not known. A person may go missing through a voluntary disappearance, or else due to an accident, crime, death in a location where they cannot be found (such as at sea), or many other reasons.
