Missing Person Photos

A missing person is a person who has disappeared and whose status as alive or dead cannot be confirmed as their location and condition are unknown. A person may go missing through a voluntary disappearance, or else due to an accident, crime, death in a location where they cannot be found (such as at sea), or many other reasons. In most parts of the world, a missing person will usually be found quickly. While criminal abductions are some of the most widely reported missing person cases, these account for only 2 to 5 percent of missing children in Europe. By contrast, some missing person cases remain unresolved for many years. Laws related to these cases are often complex since, in many jurisdictions, relatives and third parties may not deal with a person's assets until their death is considered proven by law and a formal death certificate issued. The situation, uncertainties, and lack of closure or a funeral resulting when a person goes missing may be extremely painful with long-lasting effects on family and friends. A number of organizations seek to connect, share best practices, and disseminate information and images of missing children to improve the effectiveness of missing children investigations, including the International Commission on Missing Persons, the International Centre for Missing & Exploited Children (ICMEC), as well as national organizations, including the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children in the US, Missing People in the UK, Child Focus in Belgium, and The Smile of the Child in Greece.

Sometimes a child suddenly vanishes from the bus stop or the local park or even from their own yard or bedroom. Or a teenager doesn�t return home after a walk to the neighborhood grocery store or a bike ride or a party with friends. Other times, an adult is mysteriously absent from their job or neighbors haven�t seen them for several days, and family and friends haven�t heard from them either.

Details of Disappearance Lisa was last seen riding her bicycle in Walnut Creek, California at 7:00 p.m. on September 5, 1976. She was en route from her home in the 100 block of Los Cerros to a nearby BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) station at the time.
She was supposed to return home by 8:00 p.m., but did not and has never been heard from again. Her parents reported her missing at 9:00 p.m.
Lisa's bicycle was found in a grove of walnut trees at Heather Farms Park, near the Contra Costa Canal, three hours after she was last seen. A search of the canal turned up no clues as to her whereabouts, but witnesses said they had seen her at the park's entrance.
Several witnesses reported seeing a Caucasian man driving a medium-sized motorcycle on Ygnacio Valley Road at the intersection of Walnut Avenue, two blocks east of Heather Farms Park, at approximately 7:30 p.m.
The man wasn't wearing a helmet and is described as being in his early forties, with brown curly hair, a mustache and a chunky build. A Caucasian female child wearing a white helmet, aged between eight and twelve years old, was riding the motorcycle with him. It hasn't been verified that the child was Lisa, and the man's identity has never been confirmed.
Louis Richard Fresquez is the prime suspect in Lisa's disappearance. A photo of him is posted with this summary. He was born in 1942, making him 34 years old in 1976. He is 5'5 and 140 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.
Fresquez was imprisoned for sex crimes between 1987 and 2012. He has never been charged in connection with Lisa's due to a lack of evidence.
She is missing under suspicious circumstances and her remains unsolved.
