Missing Person Photos

A missing person is a person who has disappeared and whose status as alive or dead cannot be confirmed as their location and condition are unknown. A person may go missing through a voluntary disappearance, or else due to an accident, crime, death in a location where they cannot be found (such as at sea), or many other reasons. In most parts of the world, a missing person will usually be found quickly. While criminal abductions are some of the most widely reported missing person cases, these account for only 2 to 5 percent of missing children in Europe. By contrast, some missing person cases remain unresolved for many years. Laws related to these cases are often complex since, in many jurisdictions, relatives and third parties may not deal with a person's assets until their death is considered proven by law and a formal death certificate issued. The situation, uncertainties, and lack of closure or a funeral resulting when a person goes missing may be extremely painful with long-lasting effects on family and friends. A number of organizations seek to connect, share best practices, and disseminate information and images of missing children to improve the effectiveness of missing children investigations, including the International Commission on Missing Persons, the International Centre for Missing & Exploited Children (ICMEC), as well as national organizations, including the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children in the US, Missing People in the UK, Child Focus in Belgium, and The Smile of the Child in Greece.

Or a teenager doesn�t return home after a walk to the neighborhood grocery store or a bike ride or a party with friends. Markings and/or Distinguishing Characteristics Hispanic male. Black hair, brown eyes. Berumen has numerous nicks and scars on the back of his head and an appendectomy scar on his abdomen.
Details of Disappearance Berumen was last seen at 10:30 p.m. on July 28, 2002, at the Amazons nightclub in the 4100 block of north 7th Street in Phoenix, Arizona. He has never been heard from again. His vehicle, a black 2002 Volkswagen Passat with the Arizona license plate number4VHK020, was later located abandoned at the nightclub.
In October 2004, police charged two Phoenix men, Patrick Steven Herring and Oliver Michael Pimental, with killing Berumen. A third man, Richard James Skaggs, was charged with stealing Berumen's car and credit card after his death. Police believe Berumen was shot to death inside an apartment in the 900 block of east Devonshire Avenue. Authorities found evidence of a homicide there, including a bathtub that had to be replaced because of gunshot damage.
Skaggs was found guilty of the thefts in February 2004 and was sentenced to 46 years in prison; he has never been charged in connection with Berumen's presumed homicide. Herring pleaded guilty to manslaughter in October 2004. Pimental was convicted of second-degree murder and sentenced to 25 years in prison.
Berumen was employed as a computer engineer for a Phoenix insurance company at the time of his disappearance. He graduated from Indio High School in California before moving to Arizona. His remains have not been found and may have been placed in a dumpster and taken to the landfill.
