Missing Person Photos
A missing person is a person who has disappeared and whose status as alive or dead cannot be confirmed as their location and condition are unknown. A person may go missing through a voluntary disappearance, or else due to an accident, crime, death in a location where they cannot be found (such as at sea), or many other reasons. In most parts of the world, a missing person will usually be found quickly. While criminal abductions are some of the most widely reported missing person cases, these account for only 2 to 5 percent of missing children in Europe.
By contrast, some missing person cases remain unresolved for many years. Laws related to these cases are often complex since, in many jurisdictions, relatives and third parties may not deal with a person's assets until their death is considered proven by law and a formal death certificate issued. The situation, uncertainties, and lack of closure or a funeral resulting when a person goes missing may be extremely painful with long-lasting effects on family and friends.
A number of organizations seek to connect, share best practices, and disseminate information and images of missing children to improve the effectiveness of missing children investigations, including the International Commission on Missing Persons, the International Centre for Missing & Exploited Children (ICMEC), as well as national organizations, including the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children in the US, Missing People in the UK, Child Focus in Belgium, and The Smile of the Child in Greece.

Markings and/or Distinguishing Characteristics Caucasian male. Shaved head, green/hazel eyes. Dribin had a mustache and small goatee at the time of his 1999 disappearance.
Details of Disappearance Dribin resided alone in a house in the 3000 block of northeast 137th Avenue in Portland, Oregon in 1999. He was last seen at the Eagle Tavern on southwest 13th Avenue and Burnside Street on July 3, 1999. Dribin has never been heard from again. His vehicle was discovered abandoned several days later near southeast 43rd Avenue and Division Street in Portland. There was no sign of him at the scene.
Authorities believe that Dribin was murdered inside his home between July 2 and July 6, 1999; they found "substantial forensic evidence" indicating a homicide had taken place there. There were blood spatters all over the walls and indications that someone had tried to clean up. Investigators theorize that Dribin's car was stolen from his house and parked on the street where it was located.
In May 2020, Christopher Lovrien was charged with Dribin's murder after forensic genealogy techniques determined his DNA was at Dribin's house and in his car. A photo of Lovrien is posted with this summary. When authorities searched a shed at his home several weeks after his arrest, they found the dismembered remains of another man, Kenneth Griffin, who had last been seen alive in February 2020. Lovrien has been charged with that murder as well. Dribin's body has not been found.
Lovrien, who lived in southeast Portland at the time of his arrest, has been charged with two counts of second-degree murder, one count of abuse of a corpse and six counts of being a felon in possession of a firearm. Authorities don't believe the two victims knew him or each other. A photo of Griffin is posted with this summary.
Dribin was employed as a cargo worker with United Airlines at the time of his disappearance. Foul play is suspected in his disappearance due to the circumstances involved.
