Missing Person Photos

A missing person is a person who has disappeared and whose status as alive or dead cannot be confirmed as their location and condition are unknown. A person may go missing through a voluntary disappearance, or else due to an accident, crime, death in a location where they cannot be found (such as at sea), or many other reasons. In most parts of the world, a missing person will usually be found quickly. While criminal abductions are some of the most widely reported missing person cases, these account for only 2 to 5 percent of missing children in Europe. By contrast, some missing person cases remain unresolved for many years. Laws related to these cases are often complex since, in many jurisdictions, relatives and third parties may not deal with a person's assets until their death is considered proven by law and a formal death certificate issued. The situation, uncertainties, and lack of closure or a funeral resulting when a person goes missing may be extremely painful with long-lasting effects on family and friends. A number of organizations seek to connect, share best practices, and disseminate information and images of missing children to improve the effectiveness of missing children investigations, including the International Commission on Missing Persons, the International Centre for Missing & Exploited Children (ICMEC), as well as national organizations, including the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children in the US, Missing People in the UK, Child Focus in Belgium, and The Smile of the Child in Greece.

Resources for Missing Persons

According to current statistics, 4,000 people in the United States go missing every day. Sometimes a child suddenly vanishes from the bus stop or the local park or even from their own yard or bedroom. Or a teenager doesnt return home after a walk to the neighborhood grocery store or a bike ride or a party with friends. Other times, an adult is mysteriously absent from their job or neighbors havent seen them for several days, and family and friends havent heard from them either.

Details of Disappearance Lepore was last seen leaving his residence on Belvedere Road in Tobyhanna, Pennsylvania at 8:30 a.m. on August 17, 2012. He said he was going to run some errands and would be back later. He never returned and has never been heard from again.
On September 6, his silver and gray 2007 Chevrolet Express van with the Pennsylvania license plate number YZN5888 was found on Brown Street, a dead-end street in Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania. He rarely visited that area. A photo of the van is posted with this summary. Lepore's keys, wallet and a pile of paperwork he kept in the van and had been meaning to take care of were missing.
Lepore graduated from an automotive technical school. Although he was unemployed due to a prior back injury, he enjoyed fixing cars and doing favors for his neighbors. He had lived with a female friend in the Pocono Farms East area for eleven years. They shared their expenses, and she made sure he took his medication. He has a criminal history and served time for theft and weapons offenses.
A grand jury investigated Lepore's disappearance in 2013. Police were looking for a man known as "Corey Banks"; Lepore was seen with him prior to going missing. In 2015, Michael Anthony Cimato was charged with perjury and false swearing to authorities in connection with his testimony.
He had claimed he'd known Banks for over a decade but denied any family relationship with him. He said Banks came to Pennsylvania in the spring on 2012 to borrow money, and Cimato had last seen him when he dropped Banks off at a hotel in Dickson City, Pennsylvania.
Police later identified Banks as Kip Morgan, who was wanted in New York for parole violation in an attempted murder , and in Illinois for armed robbery. Morgan's son is Cimato's nephew, meaning Cimato had lied when he said he had no family relationship with Morgan.
Morgan was arrested in Brooklyn, New York in May 2015. Authorities haven't identified either Cimato or Morgan as suspects in Lepore's disappearance, and the charges are only connected to Cimato's statements, not to the disappearance itself.
Since Lepore's disappearance, there hasn't been any activity on his cellular phone. He was close to his mother and it's uncharacteristic of him to leave without warning, and authorities believe foul play may have been involved in his . His disappearance remains unsolved.
