Missing Person Photos

A missing person is a person who has disappeared and whose status as alive or dead cannot be confirmed as their location and condition are unknown. A person may go missing through a voluntary disappearance, or else due to an accident, crime, death in a location where they cannot be found (such as at sea), or many other reasons. In most parts of the world, a missing person will usually be found quickly. While criminal abductions are some of the most widely reported missing person cases, these account for only 2 to 5 percent of missing children in Europe. By contrast, some missing person cases remain unresolved for many years. Laws related to these cases are often complex since, in many jurisdictions, relatives and third parties may not deal with a person's assets until their death is considered proven by law and a formal death certificate issued. The situation, uncertainties, and lack of closure or a funeral resulting when a person goes missing may be extremely painful with long-lasting effects on family and friends. A number of organizations seek to connect, share best practices, and disseminate information and images of missing children to improve the effectiveness of missing children investigations, including the International Commission on Missing Persons, the International Centre for Missing & Exploited Children (ICMEC), as well as national organizations, including the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children in the US, Missing People in the UK, Child Focus in Belgium, and The Smile of the Child in Greece.

According to current statistics, 4,000 people in the United States go missing every day. Sometimes a child suddenly vanishes from the bus stop or the local park or even from their own yard or bedroom. Or a teenager doesnt return home after a walk to the neighborhood grocery store or a bike ride or a party with friends. Other times, an adult is mysteriously absent from their job or neighbors havent seen them for several days, and family and friends havent heard from them either.

Details of Disappearance Raulerson was seen at 6:00 p.m. by his co-workers when they returned from their iron-workers job. They had been working on a football stadium in Gainesville, Florida. At 6:15 p.m., Raulerson spoke to his wife and mother and said he was going to help a friend who was having problems with his truck.
Raulerson left driving his wife's blue Nissan Pathfinder and has never been seen again. The car was found abandoned on August 5, at the gate to a hunting club in north Georgia on Georgia Highway 121, between the towns of St. George and Macclenny. There was no sign of Raulerson at the scene.
He had a habit of parking his car and riding with someone else into the hunting club. Witnesses reported seeing the Pathfinder at the gate at 9:00 p.m. on August 4.
Raulerson was reported missing after his wife and family came home from a trip and found that he was not at his residence. A large search was launched for him in the area around the hunting club gate, involving tracker dogs, police, numerous volunteers, and helicopters.
Nothing was located that might give a clue as to Raulerson's whereabouts. Police changed the focus of their investigation from a missing person to a criminal investigation.
In October 2002, police went to the home of James Richard Cromwell to arrest him on charges of growing marijuana. He drove away from them and was eventually stopped, where he made a statement in which he mentioned Raulerson's name. He did not implicate himself in any crime.
Cromwell committed suicide shortly thereafter. Police are uncertain what, if anything, he had to do with Raulerson's disappearance.
Raulerson remains missing and his is unsolved. He resided in Macclenny, Florida at the time of his disappearance.
