Medical conditions : Long has diabetes.
Distinguishing characteristics, birthmarks, tattoos : Caucasian male. Brown hair, blue eyes. Long wears eyeglasses. His nickname is Bob. He had a graying brown beard at the time of his disappearance.





Information on the case from local sources, may or may not be correct : Long was last seen in Long Island, New York on the afternoon of December 21, 2010. He left his home on Hillsdale Avenue to go to the nearby Miller Place Wine & Liquor Store on Route 25A. He did make it to the store and bought a bottle of liquor, but never returned home and has never been heard from again.
His off-white 2007 Chrysler PT Cruiser, which has a yellow "Support the Troops" ribbon decal on the back and the New York license plate number EEH4237, disappeared with him; a photo of it is posted with this case summary.
Long was carrying little or no cash at the time of his disappearance. He had his cellular phone, but not the charger. It's uncharacteristic of him to leave without warning. Foul play is suspected in his disappearance, which remains unsolved.
