Breaking News 2021 Maxresdefault 0011 Kyron Horman Missing Boy Located Safe1 views todayKyron Horman Missing boy located safe in Scappoose Oregon - she tried to contact Terri Horman but she didn't believe it - Kyron actually think this is his mother now - they are living in a trailer and she works for Walmart Kyron Richard Horman (born September 9, 2002) is an American boy who disappeared from Skyline Elementary School in Portland, Oregon, on June 4, 2010, after attending a science fair. Local and state police, along with the FBI, conducted an exhaustive search for Horman and launched a criminal investigation but have not uncovered any significant information regarding the child's whereabouts His disappearance sparked the largest criminal investigation in Oregon history. Kyron Richard Horman was born September 9, 2002, in Portland, Oregon, to Desiree Young and Kaine Horman, an engineer for Intel. Desiree and Kaine Horman divorced eight months into her pregnancy with Kyron, with Desiree citing irreconcilable differences.[5] The two had been granted shared custody of Kyron until 2004, but when Desiree was diagnosed with kidney failure that required extensive medical intervention, Kaine took over full custody; notwithstanding this fact, Desiree still remained an active part of Kyron's upbringing In 2007, Kaine married Terri Moulton (born March 14, 1970), a substitute teacher originally from Roseburg, Oregon. Kaine became romantically involved with Terri around 2001 when he and Desiree were in the midst of divorcing Kaine and Terri married in 2007 while in Kauai. In December 2008, Terri gave birth to a daughter, Kiara. Meanwhile, Kyron was a student at Skyline Elementary School near Forest Park. On June 4, 2010, Kyron was taken to school by his stepmother, Terri, who then stayed with him while he attended a science fair. Terri stated that she left the school at around 8:45 a.m. and that she last remembered seeing Kyron walking down the hall to his first class. However, he was never seen in his first class, a math class, and was instead marked as absent that day. Terri's statements to the police indicate that, after leaving the school at 8:45 a.m., she ran errands at two different Fred Meyer grocery stores until about 10:10 a.m. Between then and 11:39 a.m., Terri stated that she was driving her daughter around town in an attempt to use the motion of the vehicle to soothe the toddler's earache. Terri said that she then went to a local gym and worked out until about 12:40 p.m. By 1:21 p.m., she had arrived home and posted photos of Kyron at the science fair on Facebook. At 3:30 p.m., Terri and her husband, Kaine, walked with their daughter, Kiara, to the bus stop to meet Kyron. The bus driver told them that the boy had not boarded the bus after school, however, and to call the school to ask his whereabouts. Terri did so, only to be informed by the school secretary that, as far as anyone there knew, Kyron had not been at school since early that day and that he had accordingly been marked absent. Realizing then that the boy was missing, the secretary called 9-1-1. The search efforts for Kyron were extensive and primarily focused on a 2-mile (3.2 km) radius around Skyline Elementary and on, approximately 6 miles (9.7 km) away Law enforcement did not disclose their reasons for searching the area where they did, which included a search of the Sauvie Island Bridge Search and rescue vehicles along Skyline Boulevard during the search in March 2011 On June 9, 2010, the Horman family, who had initially refused to speak with the media, released a statement to the press: Kyron's family would like to thank people for their support and interest in finding their son. The outpouring of support and continued effort strengthens their hope. We need for folks to continue to assist us in our goal. Please search your properties -- cars, outbuildings, sheds, etc. Also, check with neighbors and friends who may be on vacation or may need in assistance in searching. There are a lot of resources here to help you search, so please don't stop. It is obviously a difficult time and they want to speak to the public so you can hear it from Kyron's family as they come together to share their message. Their objective is to keep the focus on Kyron and not about anything else. On June 12, around 300 trained rescuers were on the ground searching wooded areas near Skyline Elementary. The search for Kyron, which spanned over ten days was the largest in Oregon history and included over 1,300 searchers from Oregon, Washington, and California.[4] A reward posted for information leading to the discovery of Kyron, which was initially $25,000, expanded to $50,000 in late-July 2010 Kyron Richard Horman was born on September 9, 2002. His parents divorced before he was born, in 2004 he went to live to with his father, Kaine Horman. His mother, Desiree Davidson (now Young) says she gave up custody of both of her sons (she has an older son, Q, from a previous marriage) because she became severely ill after taking a non-FDA approved drug and went to Canada to recieve medical treatment for kidney failure. She refuses to reveal the name of the medication or the reason for taking it (which is her right). After Kaine was given custody of Kyron his girlfriend, Terri Moulton, moved in with her son, J, to help care for the toddler. After returning back to Oregon Desiree said she decided to let Kyron stay with Kaine and his girlfriend, because she felt they were doing a good job with him (she also said she let Kyron's older brother, Q, stay with his biological father). In 2007, Kaine and Terri got married on a beach in Hawaii, wearing their bathing suits. Kyron held his father's hand during the small ceremony. A couple year later Terri Horman have birth to a daughter, Baby K. Soon after Kyron got himself stepdad when his mother married major crimes detection Tony Young. It's been said that Kyron greatly admired his stepdad and wanted to be a detective when he grew up. His stepmom was an elementary school teacher, when Kyron started kindergarten she became very involved with schooling. She often volunteered at the school and worked closely with his teachers. She worked so closely with him that by 2nd grade he was placed in an advanced math class with older students. She also taught him some sign language. THE SCIENCE FAIR On June 4th, 2010, his school held a science fair. He did a project on red eyed tree frogs, which he had been working on with his stepmom. Usually, Terri would walk Kyron to the bus stop every morning but she took him to school that day because the science fair was being held from 8:00am to 10:00am. Before going to school Kyron talked with his father, he told him how excited he was about the science fair. Kaine promised him ice cream after school to celebrate, that was the last time his father ever saw him. Around 8:00am, Terri, Kyron, and Baby K arrived at Skyline Elementary. They went to Kyron's classroom first to drop off his jacket and backpack, they were left at his desk when he disappeared. Next, Terri took [the infamous last photo of him next to his project], she also took a picture of Kyron's deskmate, T, with his project which was also on red eyed tree frogs. She told Kyron's teacher, Ms. Porter, that they were going to look at other exhibits. They stopped by the library to return some books and then walked around the school. Before returning to class Kyron wanted stop by and visit his kindergarten/first grade teacher, Mr. Macbeth (Skyline has split classes K/1, 2/3, 4/5). When the first bell rang at 8:45am (Skyline 2009-2010 bus/bell schedule) they took different stairs to the second floor where Kyron's classroom was located. It's a small school so the stairs are very close together, Kyron wanted to take the stairs most students use and Terri took the less traveled stairs because she had Baby K and the diaper bag. They had a race, Terri implies this is something they'd do often, Kyron won as usual. When she reached the top of the stairs he was already down the hall on his way to class, so instead of lugging the baby and the diaper down the hall just to turn right back around she called out to Kyron that she was leaving… something she says she'll regret for the rest of her life. He turned back and they waived to each other, the last she saw of him was the back of his head as he trotted off towards his classroom. In late June 2010, in the midst of the investigation into Kyron's disappearance, Kaine Horman was reportedly told by investigators that Terri had offered their landscaper, Rodolfo Sanchez, "a lot of money" to kill him.[14] Sanchez testified in a deposition that Terri approached him to help kill her husband in January 2010, five months before Kyron's disappearance but when Terri's attorney Stephen Houze asked if Terri asked him to kill her husband, he said no. ] Investigators convinced Sanchez to confront Terri while wearing a wire, but they were unable to obtain any evidence and could not make an arrest. On June 28, Kaine filed for divorce and obtained a restraining order against Terri. The divorce was granted and Terri was eventually granted supervised visitation with her daughter. During this time, Terri failed two separate polygraph examinations regarding Kyron's disappearance.[18] In August 2010, it was announced that law enforcement were searching for an individual allegedly seen by two witnesses sitting inside Terri's truck outside Skyline Elementary the day of Kyron's disappearance.[19] Bruce McCain, a former sheriff for the Multnomah County Sheriff's Office, told CBS News: "The identity of that second person, if he or she existed, could be critical in determining what happened to Kyron after 9 a.m. on June 4." Meanwhile, in July 2010, a Multnomah County grand jury subpoenaed several friends of Terri Horman, including DeDe Spicher, whom Young and Kaine Horman described as having "been in close communication with Terri" and "providing Terri with support and advice that is not in the best interests of our son." According to law enforcement, Spicher was "extremely cooperative" and allowed a search of her property and car, as well as enduring three hours' worth of questioning from detectives.[20] On the day of Kyron's disappearance, Spicher abruptly left her work gardening for a homeowner at their residence on Germantown Road in Northwest Portland around 11:30 a.m., and returned around 90 minutes later. She also allegedly helped Terri purchase an untraceable cell phone. During this time, Spicher told journalists: "There's this horror that my friend is going through. If I thought for a second that she was capable of [foul play], I would not have been there. She would not have been my friend in the first place." In early August 2010, both Young and Kaine were subpoenaed and testified during the grand jury, as well as the school principal of Skyline Elementary. In December 2010, it was reported by The Oregonian that the grand jury had yet to provide compelling evidence yielding a potential indictment.[24] By November 29, 2010, search efforts in Kyron's case had cost an estimated $1.4 million according to county commissioners and yielded 4,257 tips In May 2017, it was reported by KGW that a secret grand jury panel continued to hear evidence in Kyron's disappearance, and had convened on multiple occasions. During the report, Kyron's case was described as still "active and ongoing." Two months later, in July 2017, law enforcement conducted further searches along Skyline Boulevard, but the searches yielded no results. In June 2018, Horman's mother, Desiree, posted on the official Find Kyron Horman Facebook page: "Stay tuned, something big is coming, I promise you. On June 1, 2012, Kyron's mother, Desiree Young, filed a civil lawsuit against Terri claiming that she was "responsible for the disappearance of Kyron."[28] The lawsuit attempted to prove that Terri had kidnapped Kyron on the day he disappeared.[28] Young sought $10 million in damages from Horman.[28][29] On August 15, 2012, a federal court judge denied a motion by Terri to delay the lawsuit.[30] In early-October 2012, Spicher refused to answer 142 questions during a deposition regarding Young's lawsuit.[21] Among these questions were ones regarding Spicher's whereabouts on June 4, 2010, and her contact with Terri that day.[31] She also declined to identify a photo of Kyron, whether she had met him before or not, and whether she knew his father, Kaine.[21] During testimony provided by Kaine Horman in a separate hearing the same year, he stated that police had told him they "have more probable cause to think Terri Horman was involved in Kyron's disappearance than they did two years ago."[32] On July 30, 2013, it was announced that Young had dropped the lawsuit against Terri so as not to interfere with the ongoing police investigation Terri Horman appeared as a guest on Dr. Phil in 2016, during which she told Phil McGraw: "I was advised from the beginning by law enforcement, by my husband at the time, by attorneys in the beginning, not to say anything. I've always wanted to. I've asked multiple times to speak out and have not been allowed."[35] She denied having any involvement in Kyron's disappearance, and also stated her belief that he was kidnapped, adding: "There was a man in a white pickup truck, Ford, parked on Highway 30 at the 7-Eleven, which is not near the school. He was acting very strangely and he was addressed by one of the employees because he had been pacing back and forth in front of the 7-Eleven for about an hour." Boy Missing: The Search for Kyron Horman, written by Rebecca Morris, was released in May 2020. The book claims Kyron's regular bus driver, a classmate, and two of the classmate's family members witnessed Kyron walk through the school parking lot with Terri Horman and her infant daughter on June 4, 2010. "Vanished from School," season 2, episode 2, of the television show Real Life Nightmare on Discovery ID explores the case. The episode aired November 15, 2020

29320174-8396063-image-a-18_1591516717328 info More than a decade has passed since 3-year-old Madeleine, on vacation with her parents and younger brother and sister in the beach resort town of Praia da Luz, Portugal, disappeared from her bed on the evening of May 3, 2007, without a trace. With local police slow to respond, Madeleine's parents, Gerry and Kate McCann, both British doctors, turned to the international press to enlist the help of the entire world in finding their daughter. Hundreds of man-hours spent searching, millions spent on international investigations, endless global media attention, thousands of false Madeleine "sightings," even a meeting with the pope, and more than 13 years of desperate hope have yielded not a single viable clue. So how is it that an unassuming small city prosecutor in Germany can say with absolute conviction that "…in connection with the disappearance of the 3-year-old British girl Madeleine Beth McCann … the Braunschweig public prosecutor's office is investigating a 43-year-old German citizen on suspicion of murder. From this you can see that we assume that the girl is dead"? When asked by Van Sant why they were so certain of this terrible outcome, Prosecutor Wolters responded, "We have strong evidence that Madeleine McCann is dead and that she was killed by our suspect, Christian B." Because of German law, Wolters is not allowed to use Christian Brueckner's full name nor comment on the evidence they have against him, but it is no secret that this career criminal and repeat sex offender is their prime suspect in the abduction and possible murder of Madeleine McCann. In fact, he has been on their radar for some time. Christian Brueckner, 43, is a sex offender with several previous convictions. SHUTTERSTOCK Wolters says that in 2017, a decade after Madeleine had disappeared, a person contacted German police and gave them the suspect's name. Wolters was tight-lipped about the details but according to news reports, Christian Brueckner had allegedly made a drunken confession to a friend that he knew what had happened to Madeleine McCann. Germany's highest police agency conducted an investigation and what they uncovered was that Brueckner had a long and disturbing history of crime. "Christian B. is a … criminal who committed a lot of financially motivated crimes like burglary or drug trafficking," says the Germany-based crime and intelligence analyst Mark Hofmann. "But he also has a darker side," Hofmann adds. Brueckner has a record for possessing child pornography and has been convicted twice for sexually abusing a child. Hofmann says, "He absolutely matches the profile of a person who could potentially abduct and or kill a little girl like Madeleine McCann." In 2016, investigators conducted multiple searches of a deserted factory deep in the woods of Saxony Anhalt, Germany, that Christian Brueckner once owned. "48 Hours" has learned these searches were part of a broader investigation into child pornography. SPIEGEL TV In 2016, investigators conducted multiple searches of a deserted factory deep in the woods of Saxony Anhalt, Germany which Brueckner once owned. "48 Hours" has learned these searches were part of a broad investigation into child pornography. Hofmann says they found USB drives containing pictures and videos of child abuse buried underneath a dead dog. But what, if any, connection could they have to the Madeleine McCann case? "He is definitely a psychopath. And he is definitely a full-time criminal. … But the question is … is he guilty in the Maddie McCann case?" Hofmann asks. Learn more about Brueckner's sordid background and the evidence that may place him near or at the crime scene in Portugal in an all-new episode of "48 Hours." "The Puzzle: Solving the Madeleine McCann Case". New details have emerged related to the German man suspected in the years-old disappearance of 3-year-old Madeleine McCann, including that he was known at the time to steal "from hotels and holiday apartments," according to a recent report. A recently aired segment of CBS’s "48 Hours" digs into the 13-year-old case involving McCann, a British girl who was vacationing with her family in Portugal’s vacation hotspot of Praia da Luz in May 2007 when she vanished from her hotel room where she and siblings were sleeping. The long-running investigation into who took McCann, who vanished shortly before her fourth birthday, has intrigued the U.K. – and much of the world – for years. Her parents said Madeleine went missing after they had left her and her twin siblings asleep in their holiday complex while they had dinner with friends at a nearby restaurant. Police at the time said the suspect, described as white with short, blond hair and a slim build, was linked to a camper van seen in the Algarve in 2007 and was believed to be in the resort area in the days before and after May 3 that year. In June 2020, British authorities announced that a German man had been identified as a suspect, with officials later identifying him as Christian Brueckner, or "Christian B." Brueckner is 43 and was in and around the Praia da Luz resort area on the Algarve coast at the time McCann disappeared on May 3, 2007. A tipster went to German authorities regarding Brueckner in 2017, and an investigation was commenced. "Christian B. is a … criminal who committed a lot of financially motivated crimes like burglary or drug trafficking," said crime analyst Mark Hofmann during the segment. "But he also has a darker side." "He moved from job to job. He moved from crime to crime," Hofmann added. Brueckner sexually abused a child in 1994 in Germany before moving to Portugal before serving time in connection with the alleged crime, according to the report. After returning German to face his time, Brueckner moved back to Portugal. "He lived in a house right about one mile from the crime scene," Hofmann said. (AP Photo/Armando Franca) (AP Photo/Armando Franca) Hofmann said Brueckner was "known for burglary in hotel resorts." He canceled his car’s registration in the days following McCann’s disappearance and moved back to German shortly thereafter, according to the report. German prosecutor Hans Christian Wolters confirmed during the segment that Brueckner’s cellphone data placed him in the area of the family’s vacation spot around the time McCann vanished – but investigators are still working to confirm the Brueckner was the person using his cell phone at the time. "The phone number placed Christian to the Ocean Club, but we have to find out which person uses this phone at this time. Normally it was used by Christian B," Wolters told "48 Hours." "But we don't know which person used it on the 3rd of May in 2007." Wolters told CBS investigators still needed to track down and speak with the person who contacted Brueckner’s cell phone on the night of McCann’s disappearance, stressing that it "might be the only person who could confirm that indeed, Christian B. was holding his cellphone … in his hand that night." He added: "And this would be proof that not just his cellphone was at the crime scene, but that he was at the crime scene." Wolters said investigators were able to link Brueckner to a Skype chat room for pedophiles in 2013, according to the report. "We have strong evidence that Christian B. killed Maddie McCann," Wolters said during the interview. Three-year-old Madeleine McCann vanished from her bed on vacation in 2007. Now, investigators believe they have a credible suspect who may know what happened to McCann. Peter Van Sant joins "CBS This Morning" with the investigation into this suspect on this week's "48 Hours." - This week's "48 Hours" investigates a new suspect in the disappearance of a child that made international headlines. Madeleine McCann was just three years old in 2007 when she vanished from her bed at a resort in Portugal while vacationing with her family. "48 Hours" correspondent Peter Van Sant looks at the German suspect, Christian Brueckner, and why authorities believe he may know what happened. PETER VAN SANT: In May of 2007, British doctors Gerry and Kate McCann were on vacation with their children at a beach resort in Praia da Luz, Portugal. As they had done every night, the McCanns left their children asleep in their apartment and went to meet friends for dinner about 50 yards away. Jane Hills is a BBC News anchor who covered Madeleine's story. JANE HILL: And the friends would take turns and just check on their sleeping children. PETER VAN SANT: At 10:00 PM, when it was Kate's turn, she found this bed, Madeleine's bed, empty. KATE MCCANN: Please, please do not hurt her. Please don't scare her. Please tell us where to find her. - Madeleine, Madeleine, Madeleine, Madeleine. PETER VAN SANT: Despite a global media storm, a multi-national search and investigation, years passed with no answers until this past June. - A German prisoner has been identified as a new suspect in the disappearance of Madeleine McCann. PETER VAN SANT: German authorities in Braunschweig, Germany made this announcement. INTERPRETER: The accused is a sex offender with several previous convictions. PETER VAN SANT: The suspect's name is Christian Brueckner. MARK HOFFMAN: He absolutely matches the profile of a person who could potentially abduct and/or kill a little girl like Madeleine McCann. PETER VAN SANT: Mark Hoffman is a Germany-based crime and intelligence analyst. MARK HOFFMAN: His cell phone was tracked next to the crime scene the night Maddie disappeared. PETER VAN SANT: Jim Gamble, former head of the UK's Child Exploitation and Online Protection Center is hopeful this tragic case may finally be solved. JIM GAMBLE: For the first time in 13 years, I have to say I actually felt here is a credible suspect. PETER VAN SANT: And the big break in this case came in 2017, when Brueckner told in a drunken confession, he told a friend that he knew what had happened to Madeleine McCann.
