Distinguishing characteristics, birthmarks, tattoos : Native American male. Black hair, black eyes. Lope's nickname is Eddie. His right thumb does not bend.

Information on the case from local sources, may or may not be correct : Lope was last seen at approximately 5:30 a.m. on June 21, 2005 at his residence in the vicinity of Main Street and 400 North in Washington, Utah. He has never been heard from again.
His white pickup truck, which has "Overhead Door" written on the door, was later found on a dirt road across the Arizona state border, approximately 15 miles south of St. George, Utah. There was no sign of him at the scene.
Lope left behind two young sons. His case remains unsolved.

A missing person is a person who has disappeared and whose status as alive or dead cannot be confirmed as their location and condition are not known. A person may go missing through a voluntary disappearance, or else due to an accident, crime, death in a location where they cannot be found (such as at sea), or many other reasons. The situation, uncertainties, and lack of closure or a funeral resulting when a person goes missing may be extremely painful with long-lasting effects on family and friends.
