Distinguishing characteristics, birthmarks, tattoos : Caucasian male. Black hair, brown eyes. Duna's nickname is Iulica, and some Age at the time of disappearance: ncies spell his name "Lulian." His left ear is pierced.

Information on the case from local sources, may or may not be correct : Duna, a graphic designer from Romania with a master's degree from an arts school, moved to the United States with his Romanian-American girlfriend in late 2005. In February 2006, the couple moved to Seattle, Washington. They had an argument on the night of May 2 and the girlfriend left the house to spend the night with friends.
By the next morning, Duna had disappeared and so had his bicycle, which he used as transport to work. His loved ones assumed he had gone to work and didn't realize he was missing until that evening when he didn't come home.
Duna has ties to the New York City area and has worked producing graphics for video games. He had kept in regular touch with his Romanian relatives over the internet, but all communication from him stopped after his disappearance. He had previously told them he was disappointed in America and hadn't been able to find a job suited to his skills.
The circumstances of Duna's disappearance are unclear. His case remains unsolved.

A missing person is a person who has disappeared and whose status as alive or dead cannot be confirmed as their location and condition are not known. A person may go missing through a voluntary disappearance, or else due to an accident, crime, death in a location where they cannot be found (such as at sea), or many other reasons. In most parts of the world, a missing person will usually be found quickly. While criminal abductions are some of the most widely reported missing person cases, these account for only 25% of missing children in Europe. By contrast, some missing person cases remain unresolved for many years. Laws related to these cases are often complex since, in many jurisdictions, relatives and third parties may not deal with a person's assets until their death is considered proven by law and a formal death certificate issued. The situation, uncertainties, and lack of closure or a funeral resulting when a person goes missing may be extremely painful with long-lasting effects on family and friends.
